KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville man has been charged in the death of a five-year-old boy.

Five-year-old Robert Reyes died in the hospital in late October, several days after he was hospitalized with severe injuries.

Knoxville police said the boy suffered the injuries at the hand of his mother's live-in boyfriend, Tyrail Cooke, 23.

On Tuesday, Knox County District Attorney Randy Nichols filed an indictment against Cooke for felony murder, aggravated child abuse, and possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
