KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Mayor Tim Burchett has named four new board members for the revamped tourism organization now known as Visit Knoxville.
The appointees include Community Outreach Director Hemal Tailor, County Commissioner Brad Anders, Hampton Inn Manager Anita Lane and Cortney Piper of Piper Communications
Piper is also a panelist on WATE's Tennessee This Week.
Visit Knoxville, which was formerly known as the Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation was recently granted new contracts for tourism services with the city and the county.
In the wake of the controversy over former CEO Gloria Ray, those contracts included reducing the size of its board and new performance measures.
