NASHVILLE (AP) - Nashville police have arrested a man in the stabbing deaths of three family members in what police are saying were drug-related killings.
In a news conference held Friday, police spokesman Don Aaron said 39-year-old Lorenzo Kelvin Jenkins was charged with the murders of 26-year-old Wendy Sullivan, her father 36-year-old Patrick Sullivan and her mother 48-year-old Deborah Sullivan.
WSMV-TV reports that police said the Sullivans were selling prescription pills and marijuana from their home. They were found dead in the home on Oct. 22.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation used a DNA sample to link Jenkins to the scene. He was arrested Tuesday in Sumner County on aggravated burglary and theft charges.
Jenkins received a 6-year suspended sentence earlier this year for convictions on aggravated burglary and felony theft charges.
