ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office arrested two men for the possession of illegal drugs and littering at the Rogersville City Park on Thursday night.
While officers were conducting surveillance at the park, they saw the occupants of a vehicle litter an assortment of trash into the parking lot. When they spoke with the people in the vehicle, they smelled an odor consistent with synthetic marijuana, or Salvia Divinorum-A.
Officials then observed a purple container with the illegal substance inside the vehicle.
Jordan Lee Tramill, 19, of Rogersville, and Salvador Miguel Miller, 19, of Rogersville, were placed in custody and transported to the Hawkins County Jail.
Both were charged with possession of an illegal substance and littering.
As of Sunday morning, Tramill was still in jail and Miller was free on bond. They have a Nov. 14 court date.
