$1 million lottery ticket sold in Knoxville

NASHVILLE (WATE) - Someone in Knoxville is $1 million richer, according to the Tennessee Lottery.

In a press release, the Tennessee Lottery said Saturday's Powerball drawing numbers matched a ticket sold in Knoxville.

It is the second winning ticket totaling prizes over $1 million dollars in just over a week, and the 96th ticket since the lottery's inception in January 2004. 

No one has claimed the winning ticket yet.

Since the Tennessee Lottery's beginnings, winners have claimed over $5.6 billion in prizes.
