KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police officers arrested two strong armed robbery suspects on I-40 early Tuesday morning.
Officers say they received a call around 7:12 a.m. from a man saying he had been the victim of a strong armed robbery.
The caller also said he was following the suspect vehicle on I-40 westbound.
While he was on the phone, the suspects exited the interstate and re-entered going eastbound.
Officers were able to locate both the victim and suspects, making a traffic stop on I-40 eastbound near Papermill Dr.
Two suspects were detained for questioning.
The investigation is ongoing.
