One person receives minor burns in Knoxville business fire

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - One person was burned in a fire at an East Knox County business on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at the Wilbert Burial Vault, a company that makes concrete vaults for graves, on Asheville Highway.

First responders said the fire started in the office building around 9:00 a.m..

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the office area before it spread into the warehouse portion of the building.

Part of Asheville Highway was closed for a short time while the fire was extinguished.

Firefighters said one person suffered minor burns but refused treatment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
