MARYVILLE (WATE) - A Greenback teen was killed Wednesday afternoon in an accident on Morganton Road in Blount County.
Lucas Kincaid, 18, was pronounced dead at Blount Memorial Hospital.
According to the Blount County Sheriff's Office, Kincaid was traveling south on Morganton Road at 2:56 p.m. in a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire when he lost control of the vehicle coming out of a curve on Morganton Road.
He overcorrected, went off the left side of the road and struck a tree on the driver's side door.
The teen was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did deploy.
The Blount County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
