Woman assaulted outside sorority house on UT campus


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A UT student was assaulted outside of a sorority house on Friday morning.

According to UTPD, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Ann Baker Furrow Boulevard in Sorority Village.

The victim said she was grabbed from behind by an unknown suspect outside the house, but she freed herself by kicking the suspect and then ran inside.

The student received minor injuries.  She did not see the suspect again but described him as possibly white.  He was wearing a ski mask, dark-colored clothing, dark sweat pants, and about 6' tall with a slim build.
