KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Five young people have been arrested on arson charges. They are accused of starting a string of fires over four weeks.
The Knoxville Fire Department says the fires started last month, the weekend before Halloween.
All the fires were within a five mile radius of Strolling Drive in northeast Knox County.
A fire Saturday morning led to the arrest of the five people.
Those arrested include: 19-year-old Derek Belyea, 19-year-old Devon Daughtery, 20-year-old Mathew Dilbeck, and 19-year-old Shelby McMillan. The fifth suspect is a juvenile.
The group facts several charges including arson, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited weapon.
