RAM collects donations for Hurricane Sandy victims


HARRIMAN (WATE) - Remote Area Medical (RAM) is collecting food and supplies to deliver to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The group plans to deliver the goods to Union Beach Borough, New Jersey, which was hit hard by the storm.

RAM received a donated tractor-trailer to deliver the goods to residents in need on Monday, Nov. 26.

Anyone who would like to help can drop off items at Big Emory Baptist Association at 1216 Ruritan Road in Harriman through Sunday, Nov. 25 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

RAM is asking for the following donations:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Diapers for babies
  • Baby food
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Paper towels
  • Hygiene items like soap, toothpaste and deodorant
