CLARKSVILLE (AP) - Clarksville police have charged a 23-year-old man with shooting his 15-year-old brother in the head and killing him.
Brian Holden Smith was served with a criminal homicide warrant and is being held without bond at the Montgomery County jail.
The Leaf-Chronicle reported that Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Jim Knoll said Smith called 911 Wednesday morning to say that his younger brother had been shot inside their home and told police that he saw two men running from the house.
But Knoll said police later determined that Smith had been handed a gun and pointed it at his brother's head and pulled the trigger.
The teenager, whose name was not released by police, was awake when he was taken to a Nashville hospital, but died Wednesday evening from his injuries.
