KINGSTON (WATE) - Burglars stole over $1,000 in merchandise from a Roane County tactical merchandise store Friday morning.

A Kingston Police Department report states crooks broke into A-1 Tactical Store at 901 E. Race St. just before 10 a.m.

An unknown number of robbers entered the store from the back door, leaving two distinct shoe prints. They stole an estimated $1,321 in "police" specific merchandise.

Items stolen include, but are not limited to:

  • 6 pairs of handcuffs
  • 2 Pelican flashlights
  • 6 double-sided tactical belts
  • 4 gold Tennessee Highway Patrol Chaplain badges

The report also states a full uniform set may have been stolen as well, but store owners were not sure because they are in the process of moving to another store.

No cash was stolen from the store's register, which contained money and had the register key left in it. Police say computers and a gun cabinet also did not appear to be touched.
