KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Police are searching for a man believed to have burglarized a home near the UT campus.
It happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday night at the Lake Plaza Condos, near 19th street and Lake avenue.
The victim is not a UT student but reported that a man entered his residence and started to take electronic items. The victim then confronted the suspect, who brandished a handgun and fled west on Lake Avenue.
The suspect is described as a black man wearing a red and blue jacket. He is 20 to 25-years-old, about 5'10" and about 180 pounds. The suspect also had medium length hair with cornrows and possibly a mustache. He is armed with a handgun. He was last seen heading westbound on Lake Avenue.
