KNOXVILLE (WATE) - East Tennesseans are celebrating Christmas with a number
of events across the region.
Sweetwater got in the spirit Friday with its annual holiday parade. People
lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the floats and hear the high school
marching bands perform. 6 News anchor Gene Patterson, a native of Monroe County,
served as grand Marshal of the parade.
Meanwhile, Chilhowee Park in Knoxville was all aglow Friday night. The annual
winter wonderland featured music, hot cocoa, and Santa himself. There was also a
forest of lighted trees floating on the lake. It's one of the many Christmas in
the City events this season. A complete list of those events is available
