JAMESTOWN (WATE) - A child was injured in the Jamestown Christmas Parade on Saturday morning, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Officials said around 11 a.m. the little boy was on a float when the parade came up to an intersection. The child fell off the trailer, and the wheels ran over his mid-section.
An officer who was nearby took the child to Jamestown Regional, which was only a quarter of a mile away.
The boy was then flown via LIFESTAR to UT Medical Center. He had a small skull fracture but no other broken bones.
Police said the child is expected to be home within a few days, but he is being kept for observation right now.
