MARYVILLE (WATE) - Crews with the state's forestry department were on the scene of two new wildfires Monday in two East Tennessee counties.
One of the fires is in Blount County along Highway 129 near the Foothills Parkway. Officials believe arson could be to blame.
Crews also worked a fire in Campbell County close to Interstate 75 near Pine Mountain that was about 5 acres in size.
Firefighters say conditions for wildfires are perfect right now, with plenty of dry brush continuing to fuel the fires.
