NEWPORT (WATE) - A Cocke County man was arrested Saturday for giving prescription drugs to a 13-year-old girl and forcing her to have sex with him.
The girl told officers the man had picked her up near the Newport City Park and took her to his home on Meeks Way.
She said the man had touched her and had sexual relations with her and had also given her a hydrocodone pill.
The teen also said that the man had forced her to have sex against her will.
Based on her description, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department arrested 55-year-old William Chrisley Taylor, of Newport, who admitted to picking up the victim and bringing her to his home.
Taylor is charged with rape and casual exchange of drugs to a minor.
