KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The sentencing of Christian-Newsom defendant Vanessa Coleman has been scheduled for February.
Coleman will be sentenced on Feb. 1 in District 1 court.
She was found guilty on 13 of 17 charges for her role in the kidnapping, rape, torture and murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.
This is the second time Coleman will be sentenced for the crimes.
Her first trial, in which she was sentenced to 53 years in prison, was thrown out and a new trial granted after former Judge Richard Baumgartner revealed his addiction to prescription pain pills.
6 News Legal Analyst Greg Isaacs estimated in November that Coleman would receive a new sentence of between 25 and 50 years in prison.
