KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A West Knoxville restaurant heavily damaged by arson last week will reopen Friday.

Crews spent most of the day finishing up repairs at the Texas Roadhouse near West Town Mall.

Employees had been working nearly around the clock since last Tuesday.

The front of the restaurant suffered the bulk of the damage during the early morning fire.

Restaurant employees say they are grateful for the firefighters' quick response.

"I didn't realize until this experience the kind of sacrifice they make, so I am glad to have gone through it to appreciate them so much. Likewise to my employees, they have stepped up to the plate and have had legendary attitudes," said Ginny Matteson of Texas Roadhouse.

To say thank you, the restaurant will be donating 10 percent of Friday's store sales to the Knoxville Fire Department.

Managers say those firefighters will be their first customers when they reopen for lunch at 11:00 a.m.

A fire department spokesperson says there are still no suspects in the arson investigation.
