ALCOA (WATE) - A Louisville man and a Luttrell woman are now facing child sex abuse charges.

Alcoa Police say their investigation began after a referral from the Department of Children's Services accusing Nicholas James Orchid, 27, of inappropriate sexual conduct with a young child.

Orchid initially denied the charges but later confessed to misconduct on at least one occasion after a Polygraph test. He is charged with rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery.

Further investigation led police to arrest Kristi Loretta Lundin, 30. She is charged with facilitation of aggravated sexual battery and failure to report child abuse.

Both Orchid and Luttrell may face additional charges as the investigation continues. They are being held at the Blount County Jail.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Alcoa Crime Hotline at 865-380-4715.
