Authorities search for 3 armed burglary suspects near UT campus

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Authorities are searching for three suspects involved in an aggravated burglary Saturday evening on Bridge Avenue near UT campus.

It happened on the 1300 block of Bridge Avenue. UTPD says the victim, a UT student, invited the three men into his home. That's when one of the men pulled out a shotgun and stole items from the victim.

The suspects were last seen fleeing the home toward an unknown location. The victim was not hurt in the incident.

One suspect is described as a black male, between 18 and 20 years old, 6 foot 4 inches, weighing about 250 pounds, has short hair and wearing a black hood sweatshirt. This suspect was called "Rod" during the incident.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 18 and 20 years old, 5 foot 9 inches, weighing about 180 pounds, wearing a ski mask and a dark jacket and carrying a shotgun.

The third suspect is described as a black male, 18 and 20 years old, 5 foot 9 inches, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a ski mask and a black beanie.
