Police investigate second burglary by UT campus

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -  Officials are investigating a second aggravated burglary that occurred on Saturday night by the UT campus, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

It happened on the 1700 block of Lake Avenue just after 10 p.m.

Four UT students said three unknown males entered their apartment uninvited.

The suspects brandished a firearm and stole items from the victims.  They then fled on foot southbound.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police arrested one of the suspects right after the burglary occurred.

The other two suspects were both described as black males between 17 and 20-years-old.  They both were wearing black pants and black hooded sweatshirts.

Authorities said it is undetermined if this incident is related to a prior burglary that happened earlier on Saturday evening on Bridge Avenue.

Anyone with information should call the Knoxville Police Department at (865) 215-7450.
