KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Former University of Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin has turned down an offer to coach at UT.
Tennessee Sports Radio is reporting that Martin will stay at the University of Southern California as receivers coach.
Newly-appointed head coach Butch Jones met with Martin Monday to discuss the possibility of him joining the UT coaching staff for the 2013 season.
Martin spoke with WATE 6 Sports after the meeting with Jones.
"The meeting went well," he said.
"I think football-wise we know what that is all about and we know what Tennessee is all about and how I feel about Tennessee, and all the other things," he added. "We're just trying to get to know each other."
Martin coached at New Mexico and Kentucky before joining the USC coaching staff earlier this year.
Despite numerous attempts to reach him, Martin has been unavailable for comment on Tuesday.
