COLUMBIA (AP) - A court will appoint a public defender for a Maury County teen who wrote of going on a rampage like the one that killed schoolchildren in Connecticut.
According to The Daily Herald, 19-year-old Shawn Lenz was arraigned Monday on charges of terrorism, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Maury County 911 center received calls from people who saw the posting on Lenz' Facebook page.
Authorities arrested him Sunday and he is held in the Maury County Jail in lieu of $760,000 bond.
The arrest report noted that, when asked why he posted the comment, Lenz replied, "It was stupid."
