KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two residents of a Ft. Sanders apartment were robbed Wednesday night by two men with a gun.

Knoxville police say two people were outside their apartment building at 2223 Laurel Ave. looking for a friend when they were approached by two masked men.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

The victims told police when they began to resist giving up their wallets, one man was struck in the face by one of the suspects. He suffered a cut to his nose.

The suspects then fled on foot.

One suspect is described as a black male, 6'-6'2", 180 lbs. He is in his mid-20s. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black bandanna on face, red hooded sweatshirt, black ball cap, and dark jeans.

The other suspect is described as a white male, 6', and 170 lbs. He is also in his mid-20s and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a bandanna on face.

Police are continuing to search for the suspects.
