KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The old JC Penney building in downtown Knoxville has been sold.
The building is located on Gay Street near Mast General Store.
Hatcher Hill & Associates bought the property for just over $1 million.
Developer Tim Hill says a national retailer may be interested in using the building for retail and office space.
He said there are plans to develop the basement into an urban bowling alley.
