KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Police are still searching for two men who robbed a North Knoxville deli at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.
Officers are now using surveillance video from nearby businesses to help track the suspects down.
The surveillance camera at Frankie's Body Shop points directly at Vic and Bill's Deli on North Broadway Street. On Sunday afternoon, it caught the entire armed robbery and the events leading up to it.
Starting just after 1 p.m., a dark colored SUV circles the block.
Fifty seconds later it circles again, another time almost a minute later, and four more times after that.
Finally, after five minutes the two suspects, believed to be black males, can be seen approaching the deli from the back.
At one point they hide behind a pole on the side of the restaurant and then move towards the front of the building and eventually inside.
Witnesses say the men showed a gun, took money out of the cash register and robbed everyone in the store.
One woman narrowly missed being robbed herself, leaving the deli just as the robbers were walking in.
Just thirty seconds later, the two men run from the restaurant and into the alley, leaving behind some very startled customers and plenty of video evidence.
Knoxville police say some of the stolen property has been recovered. They aren't sure if these suspects are connected to any other crimes.
