STRAWBERRY PLAINS (WATE) - An abandoned Knox County house caught on fire on Saturday morning, according to Rural/Metro officials.
The blaze was called in by a passerby around 8:40 a.m. The house is located on the 8700 block of N. Ruggles Ferry Pike.
Rural/Metro said the fire was 50 percent involved when crews arrived at the structure.
Seven different units responded to the flames.
Officials said no injuries have been reported, and the house is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
