KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville frozen yogurt shop was robbed on Sunday morning.
Knoxville police say the robbery took place shortly after 10:30 a.m. at Froyoz, 2040 Town Centre Boulevard.
A young male entered through a side door that was unlocked after first trying to enter through the front door.
Froyoz employees were getting ready to open when the suspect came into the shop.
The robber was armed with a handgun and had a bandana covering his face. He demanded the employee to give him money from the cash register.
After taking the money, the suspect ran across the parking lot and a field, and was last seen running into a neighborhood across the street. Police say they lost his track at Northshore Drive.
It is unknown right now how much money was taken.
