KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville motorists have another reason to look twice before driving through an intersection.
Four new red light cameras will be installed across the city this month.
The new cameras are located at the following intersections:
- Western Avenue and Ed Shouse Drive
- Parkside Drive and Lovell Road
- Broadway and Adair Drive
- Kingston Pike and Montvue Road
Warning citations will be issued for the first 30 days that the cameras are installed at the new locations. Police expect to begin issuing warnings later in January.
Police will also be turning off cameras at the intersections of Western Avenue at Henley Street as well as at Chapman Highway at Young High Pike because of a reduction in accidents at those locations.
