SWEETWATER (WATE) - A woman was arrested for the first degree murder of her husband on Wednesday, according to a Monroe County Sheriff's Office press release.
Karen S. Coffman is being held at the Monroe County Jail, and bond has not yet been set.
Her husband, John W. Coffman, was found dead in his home on Dec. 3, 2012 on the 250 block of Thompson Farm Road.
The initial investigation indicated that his death was the result of an overdose of prescribed pain medication.
However, further information was later brought to the attention of officials, which led to the arrest of Karen Coffman.
