Kentucky police arrest 2 burglary suspects


BLEDSOE, Ky. (WATE) - Two burglary suspects were arrested on Wednesday evening, according to Kentucky State Police.

Officials had been investigating a burglary that occurred in the Bledsoe community of Harlan County.

Around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities issued a search warrant at the residence of two suspects and recovered stolen property. While inside the home, troopers found property that had been stolen the day before.

The two suspects were not at the residence at the time of the search.

At 4:45 p.m., troopers located the suspects' vehicle on U.S. 119 and conducted a traffic stop.

They arrested the two suspects, Billy Bailey, 34, from Willisburg, Ky., and Bridget Edwards, 27, from Harlan, Ky. Bailey and Willisburg were lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.

Officials recovered many stolen items from their vehicle, including property from a residence in Knox County the suspects stole just a couple hours before the arrest.

The cases remain under investigation.
