KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man was treated for minor injuries Thursday night after being stabbed by an acquaintance.
Joshua
Barnebey, 33, of Knoxville, was stabbed by another man in the parking lot of 4860 N. Broadway in Fountain City around 10:34 p.m.
Barnebey told responding officers that he was driving through the business parking lot when another man threw a rock and hit his car.
The victim told
officers that he got out of his car to confront the suspect and wound up in a
fight with the suspect.
Barnebey received two small stab wounds on the left
side of his back. He went to Physicians Regional Medical Center, formerly St. Mary's Hospital, for treatment of two minor cuts and was later released.
According to a police report, the
victim and the suspect are acquaintances and have apparently been involved in an
ongoing argument.
Police said the victim was less than
cooperative with officers and was uncertain if he would
press charges.
