KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested one suspect and is looking for another who robbed a North Knox County CVS Pharmacy on Sunday morning.
According to the initial investigation, at 1:48 a.m. Keith Richard Kirkland, 29, of Cunningham Road, walked into the CVS pharmacy located on the 400 block of East Emory Road.
Kirkland gave a note to the pharmacist and demanded medication. After receiving the bag of medication, he fled in a silver Honda.
KCSO officers pursued Kirkland, and he was taken into custody in the woods at Reed Drive just before 2:30 a.m.
Kirkland was charged with robbery, and his bond is set at $25,000. He has a criminal history in Knoxville that includes a DUI and simple possession.
Authorities will release more information on the second suspect as the investigation develops.
