SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - A Sevier County man was indicted Monday in an accident that killed three family members and severely injured a fourth.
Shaun Russell Dunlap was charged with eight counts of homicide and assault in the July accident.
Dunlap was behind the wheel of his Ford Ranger when the vehicle crossed the center line and hit the Dembla family's Honda Accord head on.
Parents Sat Pal Dembla and Anjali Dembla were killed, as was their son, driver Ashish Dembla.
Ashish's sister, Kanika, was seriously injured in the accident, but survived.
Dunlap faces three counts of reckless vehicular homicide, three counts of reckless homicide and two counts of reckless aggravated assault.
