Police search for suspect in Knoxville shooting that injures one

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - One man was shot inside a home on Monday night, and authorities are searching for the shooting suspect, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

It happened around 10 p.m. on the 2500 block of Louise Avenue.

When officials arrived, they found 41-year-old Samuel Jackson inside the house with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

Jackson was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Bridget Eady and her grandchild were also inside the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male dressed in all black and fled the scene on foot.

There were no other credible witnesses to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
