KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Authorities are searching for two separate suspects wanted for two different robberies that occurred minutes apart on Wednesday night, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

The first robbery happened just before 7:15 p.m. at the Pilot located on the 700 block of Campbell Station Road.

Officials believe the suspect is Native American and came into the store twice. The second time, he bought candy. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect punched the clerk in the face twice and ran off with an unknown amount of money.

The first suspect is 6'’ to 6'2"”, 230-250 pounds and in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a black toboggan hat, gray hoodie and a dark zip up fleece jacket.

Officials believe he fled the scene on foot.

The second robbery happened before 7:40 p.m. at the Weigel's located on the 7800 block of Oak Ridge Highway.

A white male robbed a clerk at knife point. The clerk opened the cash register, but the suspect only got a few dollars and cigarettes.

The suspect ran out of the store. He is believed to have fled on foot.

He is described as 6'’and 180 pounds. He was wearing a Nike toboggan hat, black hoodie and an orange shirt.
