KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Roane County brothers Rocky and Leon Houston both received federal indictments Wednesday on charges they were illegally possessing guns.
A grand jury in U.S. District Court indicted Rocky Houston on fourteen counts of possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
The grand jury also indicted his brother Leon on one count of possession of a firearm as a user of an illegal substance, after he admitted to federal agents that he had used marijuana.
Both men were arrested Friday night on the charges.
In 2006, the Houstons were arrested and charged in the death of a Roane County deputy and a civilian during a shootout on the Houstons' property.
Neither brother's trial ended in a conviction.
