KNOXVILLE (WATE) – As a storm carrying snow and freezing rain moves closer to East Tennessee, some area activities scheduled for Thursday have been canceled.
This page will be updated as new information becomes available.
The storm is expected to move into the area Thursday afternoon. When that happens winds will pick up and temperatures will fall. Rain will change over into big, wet snowflakes.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the valley and plateau and a Winter Storm Warning is in place for the mountains.
