KNOXVILLE (WATE) - In addition to battling icy conditions on Friday, first responders also worked a house fire in North Knoxville.

Firefighters say the woman who lives in the home in the 2400 block of Cecil Avenue drove several blocks to report the fire at Fire Station 11.

The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen, where the damage was concentrated.

The cause was not immediately known.

The resident told officials she would stay with family until the home could be restored.

Two of her cats were reported missing after the fire.
