KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Three businesses were damaged Monday night when a fire started in a Cumberland Strip restaurant.

The call came at 10:50 p.m. when smoke was reported coming from Firehouse Subs, 1708 Cumberland Ave.

Firefighters say the fire started in heating and air duct work of the building.

Two nearby businesses, Noodles & Company and Moriconi's, were damaged by smoke.

Several hours later firefighters were called again to the businesses when smoke was reported there again. That called turned out to be a false alarm.

No injuries are reported.

Investigators are still trying to determine a cause of the fire.
