KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two men were arrested in connection with the robbery of a Knoxville Cricket store.
The men are accused of robbing the Schaad Road Cricket at gunpoint on Tuesday evening.
Suspect Matthew Hargis, 24, a former Cricket employee, was located at a Solway residence and taken in for questioning.
A second male suspect, Jimmy Franklin, 23, was identified and found at a home in Powell and also questioned.
As a result of the investigation and
interviews, both suspects were charged with one count of aggravated robbery of
the Cricket Store.
The men are being held in the Knox County Detention facility on
$20,000 bonds.
Part of the stolen money was discovered hidden in a Bible
inside Franklin's vehicle.
The handgun used in the robbery was located
hidden in his mother's bedroom.
The remaining stolen money was located hidden
behind a heating unit that belonged to a neighbor of Hargis.
