MARYVILLE (WATE) – On East Broadway in Blount County cars were driving through more than six inches of standing water.
Area business owners say a couple cars stalled out in the high water.
The parking lot of a local used car dealer was under water but the owner stayed in good spirits even pulling out a rod and reel to act like he was fishing.
Some business owners weren't as cheery though, saying they've never seen flood waters so high in the area before and want the drainage system improved.
According to dispatch the worst flooding reports did come out of the 100 yard stretch off East Broadway which flooded in some points over 12 inches.
