MEMPHIS (WATE) - A statewide AMBER Alert was canceled Thursday morning when a Memphis 2-month-old baby was found safe.
Police say Adrian Delk Jr. was taken by his biological father, Adrian Delk Sr. at 12:50 a.m.
Less than an hour after the AMBER Alert the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation canceled it when the baby was found and his father was taken into custody.
Adrian Delk Sr. allegedly assaulted the child's mother and stabbed her several times. He then took her by private car to a hospital and then fled with the baby.
The vehicle is described as a 2006 silver Nissan Altima with Tennessee registration C0161N.
Police say Delk Sr. has a history of domestic violence and should be considered armed and dangerous.
