KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Patients battling breast cancer got a helping hand from the Knoxville community on Thursday.
Kroger presented a $26,000 check to Susan. G. Komen for the Cure.
Funds were completely raised by Knoxville-area customers during Kroger's 2012 Cancer Awareness Initiatives.
The money raised stays in the community, helping patients not only with medical expenses, but life essentials like rent, utility bills, gas and food.
