Slick roads cause traffic fatality in Tenn.

NASHVILLE (AP) - Police say slick, snow-covered roads in Middle Tennessee have caused a fatal crash along Interstate 24 in Rutherford County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol told WSMV-TV that the crash Saturday morning involved a FedEx truck and a personal vehicle. Several other accidents have been reported in the area, and Sheriff Robert Arnold advised people to stay home.

The National Weather Service says snow is expected to continue falling for much of the day in Middle Tennessee and continue overnight in the eastern part of the state. In Middle Tennessee, the snow was forecast to follow light freezing rain and sleet. Total snowfall accumulation of 1-2 inches was projected by evening. Snow is expected to continue falling in areas of East Tennessee through Sunday morning with total accumulations of 2-4 inches.
