KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A homeless man was hospitalized after a stabbing Tuesday morning.
William Koontz, 52, told Knoxville police he got into a fight with someone who gave him a ride.
The incident took place around 8:29 a.m. in the 2800 block of Boright Place.
The suspect stabbed the man twice in the side and once in the shoulder before fleeing on foot.
Koontz was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
The incident is under investigation.
