KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Judicial diversion is the sentence for another former Knox County Trustee's Office staffer involved in a bonus pay scandal.

Chad Tindell, the former delinquent tax attorney, pleaded guilty to facilitation of official misconduct back in December.

Tindell's record will be cleared if he stays out of trouble for a year while on unsupervised probation.

Former Chief of Staff Josh Burnett received the same sentence last month.

Tindell and Burnett were two of the six employees who, along with trustee John Duncan III, accepted bonuses in 2010 for online education courses they never completed.

Those bonuses have since been paid back

In addition to the bonuses, there are allegations that someone in the trustee's office may have taken tests related to the online course for other employees and covered it up.
