CARYVILLE (WATE) - Campbell County sheriff's deputies captured a suspect early Friday who was wanted in a rash of burglaries.

Randy Monday was taken into custody after a traffic stop in Caryville. Sheriff Robbie Goins posted information about the arrest on the sheriff's Facebook page.

Monday was wanted for several burglaries to homes, businesses and a church in the Morley area in northern Campbell County.

A manhunt for the suspect began Wednesday after he fled from officers during a traffic stop near U.S. Highway 25W and State Highway 90.

Deputies and a SWAT team combed the mountainous area known as "Tussey Cut" Wednesday afternoon, but called off the search after dark.

Monday is being held on a violation of probation warrant.

Charges are pending in the burglaries and are expected to be filed on Friday.
